Corey Vorthmann is the Managing Partner of Vorthmann Legacy Farm Management.  He was born and raised in Southwest Iowa and grew up on the family farm east of Treynor.

Farming runs deep in the Vorthmann family with the first generation of Vorthmanns immigrating from Germany in the late-1800s and settling southwest of Treynor.  In the 1950s, Corey's great-grandpa Walter Vorthmann purchased a farm west of Macedonia.  Corey's father, Aaron purchased the farm in the 1980s and built a large successful cattle feedyard, Blue Spruce Feedlots.

Since 2015, Corey has taken an active management role in his father's 5,000 acre row crop production operation.  In addition, he currently provides farm management services for several local clients and farms 400 acres of corn and soybeans and partners with his father on 120 cows.

Corey has a Bachelor's Degree from Central College, a Master's Degree from Northwest Missouri State University, and a Doctorate from Baker University.  He will receive his Accredited Farm Manager credential from the American Society Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers in July 2020.
